(Des Moines) Senator Charles Grassley received some good news from a group of medical interns during his visit to a health clinic in Des Moines Tuesday. The Iowa Republican visited Primary Health Care in Des Moines’ east side and he told the group he was worried about doctors educated in Iowa going out of state. A majority of the students said they were at least thinking about staying in the state.
Primary Health Care provides services to Iowans regardless of income or insurance. And Senator Grassley heard about their efforts to make their clinics the “medical home” for patients, so they can catch early signs of drug and alcohol addiction, mental health problems and other issues when patients come in for treatment for any illness.
